Elizabeth grew up making art and pursued her studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz. After college, her focus shifted from realism to abstract landscape and structural representations with a focus on color. Her desire for abstraction stems from her interests in the healing arts and the natural world. Elizabeth is also a body worker and a rock climber, and the meandering lines of bodies, landscape, and natural formations make their way into her pieces. In 2017, the artist began a graduate program in Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. As a result, her more recent work is interested in seeing art as a form of self representation that can serve as a mirror to facilitate understanding, change, and growth.
Elizabeth holds Bachelors’ degrees in both Art and Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
